Regarding Conveying an idea to maintain clean River Yamuna

Respected Sir,

Subject:- Regarding conveying an idea to maintain clean River Yamuna

Regarding the above mentioned subject, I read in newspaper that you were formed a committee to analyze the air pollution and pollution in River Yamuna.

I, being a concerned citizen, would like to propose an idea to clean River Yamuna.

Since, Yamuna is polluted largely by the wastes discharged by Delhi. It is an idea to treat the rivers water after it leaves Delhi. This would help the cities downstream of Delhi.

Since, many efforts have been made in this direction and have not been able to produce desired results. I would like to propose a model based on Private Partnership to tackle this menace.

THE MODEL

It is proposed that an Entertainment Zone be setup along the River (preferable along Yamuna Expressway, this would help in movement of people on this project, generating more revenues) in outskirts of Delhi. The Entertainment zone should have eco-friendly technology. 

The Entertainment Zone shall have facilities like Camping Zones, Water Parks, A zone having traditional models of our heritage etc. to attract public and tourists at large. All these facilities should be created and maintained by the Private Players.

The government should make revenues from these Private Partners (in terms of taxes or duties) to run the treatment plants. The other taxes shall be evaded if possible. These treatment plants shall be run by Government by the revenues obtained by these facilities.

Since activities like Riverside Camping would be a major attraction in calm weather conditions, the same would not be prefered by public in Summers. So activities shall be made available that would be prefered in hot summer days. 

It is requested to kindly give this idea a minute thought and it might work out to be boon to Tourism, recreation and cleaning of Yamuna. I believe that with added knowledge and skills available with our technocrats to this idea, it might be successful. It is put up before you for kind attention and further action.
